Hi, I'm Melissa Chow, a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) and Canine Behaviorist (CBCC). I've been working with dogs for over 16 years and rescuing and loving them since childhood. About 10 years ago like so many people, I found myself at a loss with my foster dog who had serious behavioral issues. I was determined to do the best for her so of course I went to google, tv shows, and listened to tons of suggestions from others, but nothing was working so I went to a Professional Canine Behaviorist & Trainer. While receiving advice and training I became dedicated to helping other dog owners and volunteers help their dogs in these situations and how to prevent them in the first place. I already had a background in psychology, so I began my 4 year journey into becoming a Trainer, and later, a Behaviorist.
My mission is based on providing positive and effective training and behavior modification. I focus on educating and rehabilitating canines with families and those without so that every person and every dog can have that irreplaceable bond with each other and either remain in or find a furever home. The other half of my mission is to prevention of behavioral issues through training and education.
Professionally, I'm a Certified Canine Behaviorist (CBCC), Certified Professional Trainer, and Professional Member of the Pet Professionals Guild. I'm insured and blessed to serve my community sharing what I am passionate about.
